Emily Burns

Hello! My name is Emily Burns and I am a rising senior pursuing my B.S. and M.S. in Journalism at Northwestern University. I will also graduate with a certificate in Business Institutions and a concentration in English Literature. I am currently working as an Editorial intern at Women’s Wear Daily and Beauty Inc. I am also the Editor-in-Chief of STITCH, Northwestern’s premier fashion magazine. I recently returned to the Chicago area after studying Art, Literature, and Philosophy at Sciences Po and Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris for four months. Last summer I worked as a Business Development intern at NYLON Media, working both at NYLON Magazine and Socialyte Inc. Prior to that, I worked as a PR and Marketing Intern at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I also covered fashion-related events for their official blog. In the Spring of 2019, I traveled to London to participate in a Medill Global program reporting on Arts, Entertainment, and Culture. I would love to pursue a career as a fashion editor and stylist. I have a passion for technology and social media. I am skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, Reaper, Sublime, Javascript, CSS, Jquery, Mac, and PC.
